Bloomsday Celebrations in Blacrock - Thurs 16th June from 10am until late!
Bloomsday Breakfast at the Market Cafe from 10 am with music and poetry. Full Irish or fried kidneys available. At 6 pm a performance of Ulysses o Rocks, a play on the James Joyce classic is taking place on Main Street Blackrock. This performance will be introduced by John Waters. The play has a cast of 21 actors and 12 musicians. After the performance the Millrace Gallery on Main Street, will be serving a glass of champagne and strawberries, while viewing Gerard McGourty new paintings, with music and poetry presented by members of the cast of Ulysses O’Rocks. At 7.30pm in Raven Books, Main Street, Conor Fennell will read from his new book on James Joyce in Paris. Please come along and enjoy these events.
